Finance for your next car

Get behind the wheel with the right car loan

Fast approvals for new or used vehicles. We negotiate with our lender panel to find the structure that fits your cash flow.

Finance built around your drive

Buying a car is a big call. The finance behind it should be the easy part - clear numbers, quick answers, and a repayment you can live with.

  • Know your budget before you shop

Get pre-approved and you'll walk into the yard knowing your ceiling - which puts you in the same negotiating seat as a cash buyer.

  • Any car, any seller

Brand new from a dealership, a tidy used import, or something you found privately on Trade Me - we arrange finance for all of them.

  • Lenders competing for you

One application reaches our whole panel. We put the sharpest offer in front of you, not the first one that comes back.

  • A deposit helps, but isn't essential

A cash deposit or trade-in trims what you borrow and can sharpen your rate - but plenty of our approvals start with neither.

  • All credit situations considered

Because the loan is usually secured against the car, lenders can be more flexible than you'd expect - even if you've been declined elsewhere.

  • One person, start to finish

The same specialist handles your application, the lender and the paperwork - you spend your energy choosing the car, not chasing the finance.

What can you finance?

We arrange finance for just about anything with a windscreen, including:

  • Hatchbacks, sedans and SUVs
  • Family cars and people-movers
  • Utes and 4WDs
  • New vehicles from a dealer
  • Used vehicles
  • Private-sale purchases
  • Electric and hybrid vehicles
  • Motorhomes and campervans

How car loans work

You borrow toward the vehicle and repay it in regular instalments over a term that suits - typically one to five years. Most car loans are secured against the car itself, which is why their rates tend to beat unsecured borrowing.

What you'll pay depends on the vehicle's age and value, your income and commitments, any deposit or trade-in, and your credit history. A newer car or a bigger deposit generally means a better rate.

Before you commit, we'll show you the repayment at different terms so you can pick the balance between a lower weekly cost and less total interest.

  4. Access your funds

Once your loan documentation is completed and approved by the lender, your funds can be released according to the lender's process.

Frequently asked questions

The things people most often ask about car loans.

Can I get pre-approved before I've found the car?

Yes, and we recommend it. Pre-approval tells you exactly what you can spend before you start looking, so you can negotiate hard and move quickly when the right car shows up. Once you've chosen, we finalise the loan against that vehicle.

Can I finance a car from a private sale?

Yes. Private sales involve a few extra checks - ownership, security interests on the vehicle, that sort of thing - and we handle those as part of arranging the loan, for your protection as much as the lender's.

Can I get a car loan with bad credit?

Often, yes. The car acts as security, which gives lenders room to be flexible. We work with lenders across the spectrum and present your situation properly - it's worth a conversation even if you've had a decline before.

Do I need a deposit?

No - many of our customers borrow the full purchase price. That said, a deposit or trade-in lowers the amount financed, which drops your repayments and can improve the rate you're offered.

I already have a car loan. Can I refinance it?

Possibly, and it can be worthwhile if your credit has improved or your current rate is high. We'll weigh any break fees on the old loan against what the new one saves, and give you a straight answer on whether it stacks up.

What do I need to apply?

Photo ID, proof of income, your last 90 days of bank statements, and the details of the vehicle if you've found it. Buying privately? We'll also need the seller's details to run the ownership checks.
